  1. 1.How do I sign up?

The first thing to do is Design Your Billboard. On that form, you will provide to us your contact info, design your billboard, upload your picture, upload your resume. It couldn’t be easier! Within 24-48 business hours, you will notified to approve the template of your ad. Once approved, your ad will be up as soon as possible.

  1. 2.Where are the Billboards located?

Currently, the billboards are located in 3 metropolitan areas; South Florida, Chicago and Kansas City. Each Billboard has the capability of showing many resumes, so there are plenty of opportunities. For details about each location, click HERE.

  1. 3.How much does it cost?

If you were to lease a billboard on your own, you could pay about $3500 per month for an ad. However, due to the unique nature of the BILLBOARD RESUME system, you only pay $399 for 4 weeks and with our 12 week program, you could pay as little as $89 per week! Also, our setup fees are extremely low, only $99. After your first 4 week period is up, you will be charged automatically a fee of only $99 per week to keep your ad displayed. This avoids having to pay an additional setup fee if you take the ad down, and then decide to run it again. You will continue to be charged until we receive notice of cancellation by you in writing (or email).

  1. 4.What can I add to the billboard?

The Billboard will consist of 4 lines of information and a picture. You design the first line (e.g. “I’m Your Next IT PRO!”) This field is limited to 30 characters if you use a picture. The idea is that you want the potential employer to be able to see and read your ad quickly. The second line will say “View My Resume At”. The third line will say “BillboardResumes.com”. The last line will say “Keyword” and then you choose a keyword (e.g. “IT PRO”, or “SALES GURU”). You can also add a picture of yourself in order to attract potential employers.

  1. 5.Do I have to use a picture?

You do not have to use a picture, though it is highly recommended. The idea is that you want to get noticed, and large picture of yourself will get noticed!

  1. 6.How do I upload my picture?

When you are designing your billboard, you will be given an opportunity to upload your picture. Remember though, the picture you use must be your property and must be a picture of you only.

  1. 7.How do I upload my resume to you?

When you are designing your billboard, you will be given an opportunity to upload your resume. You can upload it in Microsoft Word or other text based format. Feel free to format as you like including removing your telephone number if you do not wish that it become public information.

  1. 8.Will you help me design the billboard?

If you are not sure what to write in Line 1 or as a keyword, we will be more than happy to help you. Just email us here.

  1. 9.Are billboards effective?

Yes! Outdoor advertising is the last type of advertising most business owners think about, yet it is the cheapest and most effective type of advertising! Here are several facts about billboard advertising and how it can benefit you and your business. Here are some billboard facts: 1) You can't turn off a billboard... it's always in your face. Compared to print, TV & radio you can always see your billboard all though you can skip commercials, change channels, or find some other way to avoid hearing or seeing other types of ads. 2) More people can view one particular billboard than the super-bowl! (The billboard must be located in a high traffic area like most Interstate billboards.) 3) Billboards are viewed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by billions of different people.

4) According to the Outdoor Advertising Association of America, people glance at 70% of the billboards they pass. Of these billboards, 63% are actually read. Most other types of media can not compare to this. 5) Billboards reach 93% of all Americans. 6) Outdoor Advertising costs 80% less than television advertising, 60% less than newspaper ads, and 50% less than radio advertisements. 7) There are 53% more automobiles and 102% more road trips over the past 30 years. 8) The number of traveling and household vehicles has risen six times faster than the population rate. 9) According to a study by Arbitron, people are spending less time reading and watching television because they are spending more time traveling to and from work. The average American is in a car for 15 hours per week!

  1. 10. How many people will see the billboard?

The number of people to see your billboard depends on the number of vehicles that pass your location and how many people are in each vehicle. Most state departments of transportation keep stats on the average annual daily traffic (AADT) a given road section has. Details on the AADT for each of our locations, click HERE.

  1. 11. Will this guarantee that I will find a job?

No. The only thing we can guarantee is that your billboard will be seen by thousands of people a day.

  1. 12. Can I cancel my ad once I get a job?

Of course. All you have to do is contact us via email and we will cancel your ad as soon as possible. If you cancel a subscription prior to the termination date of your ad, you will be responsible for the cost of the ad on a daily rate of $28.57 for the days your ad is displayed.

  1. 13. Will my resume be on your website?

Yes. The potential employer will be able to search the BILLBOARDRESUMES.com website for all resumes.

  1. 14. What if the driver forgets my keyword?

The potential employer may not remember your keyword, but they will still be able to search through the select resumes of those people using the Billboard Resume system. If the driver is looking for a salesperson, and only remembers that they saw a salesperson on the billboard, they could search for “sales” on the site and the salesperson resume will be displayed.
